Our Melchizedek the judge of the whole earth
Heb 7:15-26
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; KJV
There is only one way that you can avoid the PLAGUES meaning DEATH STROKE of Revelation 18:4 ‘And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues’ . THE ONLY WAY IS TO BE IN A BLOOD COVENANT WITH YAHWEH the Holy one who makes blood covenant. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
The word ‘Testimony’ here is to have sworn an oath which is Covenant. Meaning you must have a record, for instance in the high courts, a person arises puts their right hand on a bible and swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth so help them God. When they are found to have lied, they can be in serious consequences, and what they swore to, becomes an evidence in court.
This is what Abraham did before Melchizedek. Abraham was a gentile, his father was an idolater ‘Joshua 24:2 And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.’ Abraham prophesied what Yashua would do, ‘Matt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. KJV’ and Abraham performed ‘Romans 10:9 ‘that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved’ before the Law, before a sabbath. Romans 10:9….. if you make a blood covenant with your mouth, the blood of Yahweh ‘the Lamb’ you will be made whole, delivered, or protected, literally or figuratively; healed, preserved; save self, do well; TO MAKE YOU AS A PERSON WHOLE.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. ‘neither is there salvation (rescue or safety, physically or morally, health and safety, preservation of life in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must BE MADE WHOLE. YA, ‘FATHER’ SHUA ‘SON’ AND THE SPIRIT OF THE FATHER WHICH IS HOLY.
Isa 42:6
I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
Isa 49:6-8
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
7 Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.
8 Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
Heb 4:14-16
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
So when can you go before our High Priest? With complete assurance in your blood covenant agreement, knowing that there is a record on high and say to Him, ‘Your Grace’ I need one of my benefits. Hebrews 3:1 wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
But we got ready to die, not to be made whole and live, we were born again on a limited understanding, a watered down gospel. 2nd Cor 2:17 for we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. CURRUPT means ‘to water down’ as one will water down wine.
Our brothers and sisters in the Anointed One who have come to receive Yashua as the Messiah, many have come on Gentile scripture, and have no more covenant than we did when we were born again. Paul was the apostle to us Gentiles, the only ones he baptized in water were Jews and Proselytes ‘1st Cor 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect’
1st Cor 1:13-16
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
Yashua is the one doing the baptizing. John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost .My background is with the Apostolic Pentecostals, we like myself came on the scripture for the Jews. i.e. ‘Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
I am no longer part of that doctrine THE LORD OPENED MY EYES TO THE FACT THAT YASHUA (JESUS) HIMSELF SAID TO THE TWELVE APOSTLES Matt 10:5-8: 5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Yashua Himself said Matt 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Yashua knowing the scriptures knew that, He will be a light to the Gentiles Isaiah 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. KJV
2 Cor 6:1-2: We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
The woman of Canaan had an understanding of who He was, the coming one of the seed of David, the Deliverer, the Saviour, she believed what most of His own people would not believe, (He came unto His own…John 1:11-12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
The exception was Peter, and he disobeyed. Peter was told 2 times, ‘what I have cleansed, don’t call unclean. Peter missed the point.
Acts 10:34-35: 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. KJV
Cornelius, an Italian was not a proselyte but he understood the meaning of what the Jews did in the sacrifices; the meaning of what John said: ‘Behold the Lamb of Yahweh’ the covenant keeping God. A gentile Cornelius believed in his heart, Yashua himself baptized him, by the sinless Spirit of our father ‘Ya’, into the body of Christ. John 1:31-33 (31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. KJV
1 Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. KJV ( FOR BY ONE SPIRIT, ‘BY MEANS OF’ …. WE ARE ALL BAPTIZED INTO ONE BODY)
John 1:26-33 26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; 27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, after me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. KJV
Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
Yashua Himself baptized Cornelius into His body. Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, KJV
Cornelius now stood clean before the Lord, he believed in his heart (….for with heart, man believeth unto righteousness Romans 9:10)
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. KJV
After Cornelius cleansing, he received the enduement of power from on high, the Gift from on high (Luke 24:49) Acts 10:44-46 (44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, KJV)
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. KJV
The word REMISSION means = freedom; pardon; deliverance, forgiveness, liberty, remission (Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Rom 3:25 whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; KJV
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. KJV)
Heb 9:11-22: 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. 18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. 21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
What Cornelius had in his heart, he accepted Yashua as his Lamb. When Peter told Cornelius to be baptized for remission of sins, there were no sins to be pardon, he had deliverance, forgiveness, freedom, liberty from sin.
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith (in his blood), to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; This word REMISSION in the Greek is ‘toleration’, today will we would use ‘TOTAL’. Cornelius had been given a TOTAL forgiveness, he was completely liberated by faith in the blood of his Lamb. The word ‘propitiation’ is referring to the covering of the Ark of the Covenant. Inside the Ark = Hebrews 9:4-5 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; 5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Then and now because of the blood of the lamb and the blood of our salvation, Yashua (Jesus) put on the lid, the covering, THE PROPITIATION SHIELD. Where the mercy seat is were the presence ‘YAH’ = HE who is, the self-existent one, Always was, And is to come. Called THE ANCIENT OF DAYS in Daniel 7:13-25
‘13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.
18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Between the curses of breaking the Law, the judgment of Yahweh ‘ the God of their Covenant’ was ‘GRACE and MERCY’ by the blood of the Lamb.
Deuteronomy 28:15-58 15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.
33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed forever.
47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; KJV
In the early days of sending astronauts into space, they put on the front of the spacecraft Ceramic Shields.
They were called propitiation shield. Because of the speed, the friction of passing through atmosphere caused heat so great it would burn up the spacecraft with the astronauts. The propitiation shield, took the heat. The word ‘propitiation’ includes the meaning TO PASSOVER, (…….it is the Lord’s Passover) It was Yahweh who saw to saving of all that who believed in Him. They were saved from the judgment, the plague, the death stroke.
Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. KJV
Paul said that the Law was good, it tells us what sin is; (Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Under the propitiation shield was the Law, which when broken, there were judgment, the innocent animal, a lamb had no choice, it had never sinned. Our Lamb had a choice, but said ( never the less, not my will but thy will be done)
I had an unwilling propitiation shield, as a youngster, sometimes I would be taken out to my grandfather’s and uncle farm. In those times, farms did not have inside toilets, they were at the back of homes.
I went into the outhouse to make water, as my grandfather calls it, and I wet on the seat. My uncles first wife died, his present wife was mean step mother, she was the next to go the outhouse. She came out angry as an old wat, as some would say back then. She asked me if I was the one who had wet on the seat, I said no mama. My 3 male cousins were laying in their beds reading. She went into their room and said, Don did you wet on the seat? He said no mama, then she said Bob did you wet on the seat? Bob said no mama, June did you wet on the seat? He said no mama. She had a flexible rod in her hand and decided it was Don, and began to beat him. I was standing outside the door hearing him yearling in pain. This was in my pre-teen days. My cousin was my unwilling heat shield, judgment passed over me.
Don proceeded me in age, in mid adulthood, I wanted to confess my sin to him and apologize, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. At his funeral, I told Don’s sister Brenda, she said ‘ it was good you didn’t, he had a temper. There was a time when Don’s clock did not work, and he shock the clock.
Before the Law, there was grace and mercy. All those who believed in the God of Israel that Moses spoke to them, left Egypt with ‘saving health’
Psalm 28:6-9 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. 7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. 9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever. KJV
Psalm 67:1-2 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. 2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. KJV
There were no feeble knees among them. Psalm 105:37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. KJV
Israel believed and obeyed the ‘WORD’ of the one who had a covenant with Abraham to bring his children out. Thirty-two generations (14, 14, 14=32)
John 1:10-14 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The WORD was Israel’s propitiation shield.
