Isaiah 9 is prophesying of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 9:1-7 (KJV) 1 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. 2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. (This is quoted in Matthew in the New Covenant) 3 Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God (El), The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV) 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
You can’t get father out of the name Jesus.
Yah = Father
Shua = Son who is a savior or he who is salvation in the flesh.
John 1:1-14 (KJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Son = Yahshua
Holy Ghost = pneuma hagion, the spirit that is holy.
John 5:43 (KJV) 43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
John 17:26 (KJV) 26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
A few years ago I was talking about how the Jews were to come in the name of Yahweh to restore them back into covenant relationship.
There aren’t two ways to the Father it’s all through the blood. I was thinking of the song God Lead Us Along.
Some through the waters, some through the flood,
Some through the fire, but all through the blood;
Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song,
In the night season and all the day long.
When John said to the Jews behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world it was still through the blood. Like in Romans 10:9 it was the blood – make a blood covenant. The Jews were restored to covenant relationship through the blood of the Lamb being baptized in the name of Yahshua. As Gentiles we are engrafted in to the kind of salvation they had. The Jews were baptized in the name Yahshua to be restored back to what they already had while we as Gentiles were engrafted in to what they had. It was still only one way; through the blood.
Those who were taught the scriptures understood including the proselyte Jews. Timothy’s father was a gentile and his mother was a Jew. His mother and grandmother taught him the scriptures.
I’ve mentioned before how a man I met was in prison was on fire for the Lord. When he was released from prison he was insistent on being baptized in Jesus name. That was where his heart was and what he believed. It was not the time to tell him otherwise, so I baptized him.
Isaiah 7:12-14 (KJV) 12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD (Yahweh). 13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God (Creator) also? 14 Therefore the Lord (Yahweh) himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (God with us).
The name Immanuel is the word El, the Almighty with all His power, all His strength and ability to do everything. He is with us.
Isaiah 8:8 (KJV) 8 And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
Here is another place talking about stretching out the wings. This is an example of anthropomorphize where it describes human or animal attributes to God.
The flesh itself is not God. That is hard for some to grasp. The flesh came from the mother’s side. There are certain things that parents contribute to a child. The blood comes from the father’s side. Sinless blood had to be shed. He was without sin but he could be tempted.
The Father himself; the eternal spirit cannot be tempted. He does not change His mind. He doesn’t get old, doesn’t die and doesn’t sin but there is a possibility for the flesh to sin. He overcame in the flesh. That is what is expected of us to overcome the flesh.
We are certainly not Jesus here on earth but we should be a representation of Him. We should keep our flesh under control.
When they baptized in the name of the Father, Yah is the Father. Shua, like Joshua means a deliverer, a savior; the scripture says he sent many saviors. So Shua is salvation, he who is a savior. So you have Yah the Father, Shua the son who is our savior or who is our salvation in the flesh. The Holy Ghost is not a name. Originally it was pneuma hogion, the spirit that is holy. Pneuma is the wind; His breath, His wind. There is only one spirit that is truly holy.
In Walter Marin’s book of cults he made a distinction between the giver and the gift. He was labeled a cult based on that. It is true.
I use the Great Lakes region as an example of that. When the conditions are right parts of the lakes are imparted in snow; lake effect or imparted in rain but Lake Michigan is there. It’s like the Father He can part His spirit, breath; His pneuma, His wind. The Holy Ghost is a helper, one who comes along. God helps you get over the hump of unbelief and its different things for different people.
There was a lady who felt wind in her house when she was trying to receive the spirit. I mentioned the scripture to her about the Lord breathed and when she heard that she spoke in tongues. There’s a person who heard she should cover her head. Some people have done other things to try to help their faith. One time I was praying for my daughter Abby for her appendix. It came to me to cut out the scriptures and tape it to her where it was hurting; that helped me believe. You could make a doctrine of cutting out scriptures or someone can make a doctrine of covering your head; but it’s really between you can and the Lord and believing. For some, doing something like these examples helps them believe and receive.
John 1:1-14 (KJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God (El), whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He (John) was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received (lambanoed) him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
He is the living word made flesh.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV) 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
People have misunderstood and baptized in three titles. They didn’t understand what that meant. Yah the Father, Shua the Son and the spirit that is holy. That is what the Lord was talking about when he said that.
Through translations words were changed like Y’s where changed to J’s. Moses was Mocheh meaning saved by water. Moses was placed in the bulrushes of the NIle as a baby then later they were saved by water crossing the Red Sea. In his anger he struck a rock and water came out. Elijah is Eli Yah meaning my God is Yah. Yah is Yahweh the covenant keeping God; He Who Was, Who Is and Is To Come. Yah is the eternal existing one. Yah is ancient of days.
In the contest with Baal he was saying choose this day who you are going to serve. Are you going to serve Baal or Yah?
Israel is Yisrael contend with God, Israel was changed to Jacob. Jacob is Ya’akob meaning heel catchter, contender. Joseph is Yosef. Judah is Yahudah, Yah commands. John is Yahuchanon Yah-sheweth favour. Ezekiel is Yehezael. Yahudim is called Jews, Yah – wife (bride). Peter is Kepha called Cephes in Galatians 2:9. My point is you can see there are no J’s. That came five hundred years later. I’m not saying you need to learn Hebrew. The important thing is to know the intent of the words. The intent is covenant relationship. The necessity is that we overcome by blood covenant and the word of our testimony. If we don’t’ understand covenant and how to overcome you won’t be able to stand in the end of times when you have to totally trust in Him. This is a necessity when your life is in danger.
I still use the name Jesus especially for people that don’t know any better. For personal usage I say Yahshua. Understanding the name Yahshua is essential. When you understand Yah is my covenant keeping God and you rest in that you have it made in the shade. The chastisement of our peace is upon Him. You can’t have peace until you have a confidence in what He did for you. When we don’t understand it hinders what He wants to do for us including our health. The accumulation of errors in biblical translations allows the rise of the Anti-Christ. Definitions are important and that’s why I try to demonstrate what the words are and the meanings.
Greek was considered a universal language like English is now. The translators changed the original names in the bible from Hebrew to Greek. This is when the name of Yahshua and others were changed. This was about 500 years after the apostles. There are errors in the King James versions but the King James has less errors than the others. When they read in the synagogues they read the scriptures in Hebrew. When Jesus read in the synagogues he read in Hebrew. When the apostles read it was Hebrew. Yahweh or Yahovah was changed to Jehovah. The Lord hasn’t changed. You need to know Him in covenant relationship. We need to know Him in the power of His resurrection.
