We need to live totally by faith, by our testimony and the blood of the Lamb and not by what you eat.
Matthew 4:4 (KJV) 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) 12 For the word of God (the Creator) is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul (the natural person) and spirit (the spiritual person), and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
What is in your heart? Where is your salvation? If you don’t really understand or believe everything that salvation means (rescue, safety, physically or morally, saving health, deliverance) and it is in what you physically eat it doesn’t seem evil. The problem is you are looking in the wrong direction. You need to discern the thoughts and intents of your heart. Are you doing or eating with the thought that by doing this you are going to save yourself? I’m not saying to deliberately eat badly. Don’t forget that the Lamb of God took every sickness and disease. He has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Don’t let little subtleties get you looking somewhere else. Don’t take me wrong. I’m not saying not to eat healthy. I am saying there are things that don't seem wrong and can even seem noble but those are little things that can turn your eyes away from what Jesus did. Looking to those little subtle things can cause you question did Jesus really say He will be your salvation.
Ephesians 4:27 (KJV) 27 Neither give place to the devil.
1 John 4:3-4 (KJV) 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ (Yashua) is come in the flesh is not of God (the Creator): and this is that spirit of antichrist (instead of Christ), whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God (the Creator), little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Every morning wake up and meditate on the fact that greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.
Some people think abstaining from meat and how you eat is your salvation. It is a deception. People are taking their eyes off of what Jesus said. The bread is the healing. He is the bread of life. We are to eat His word for our healing. Communion is not just to eat Jesus like the Catholics teach. It is to commemorate the fact that we believe His word.
Hebrews 4:1-12 (KJV) 1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
The whole thing is to rest in the Lord. Rest in what His words says. When the Israelite's put the blood on the doorpost it was not the blood on the doorpost that saved them. It was that the believed what the Lord (Yahweh) said. He said when you put the blood on the door and eat all this lamb the death plague will not touch you. They believed Yahweh. It isn’t just the blood of the Lamb that saved us. It is that we believed Him. If you believe with your heart and make a covenant with your mouth as in Romans 10:9 that is what makes a difference. Have faith in what the Lord (Yahweh) said and you will be made whole. The Israelite's believed and obeyed the word of the Lord. It wasn’t Abraham’s works or acts. It was that he believed God and it counted to him for righteousness. When you believe what the Lord says that’s when you get the results. Enter into rest.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God (the Creator) did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
It is not just the act of obedience. They really believed it. They made a blood covenant and was made whole.
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God (the Creator). 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God (the Creator) did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 12 For the word of God (the Creator) is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul (natural life) and spirit (spiritual life), and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
We cannot get what belongs to us by being a born again child of God based on what we do. It is either Him or something else. In the last chapter in Job the Lord is chewing out Job because he was so righteous. Because Job was so righteous he offered sacrifices for his children. He thought his kids were the problem. The Lord is telling him it’s not your righteousness its mine. When Job got straightened out he was restored. Our righteousness is a gift of God. Believe Him.
Hebrews 4:13-16 (KJV) 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus (Yahshua) the Son of God (the Creator), let us hold fast our profession.
Holding fast to our profession is the big problem with the present body of Christ. When did we make a covenant? We have to add it to our born again experience. We need to get out of Babylon and enter into covenant. Contend or struggle to get to the point where you believe Him so you rest. Hold fast to your profession so you can talk to others about the love of God.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Why should we come boldly?
Because we believe we are in covenant. We believe everything is alright. The Lord said there was no one greater He could swear by so He swore by Himself. It is impossible for Him to lie. There is no shadow of turning. He doesn’t change His mind. That is our assurance. We have a covenant with Him and we can come boldly to the throne of grace in the time of need because He said so.
