Faith Comes By Hearing | Think In Terms Of Yahweh The Covenant Keeping God

faith comes by hearing

Brothers and sisters I am trying to get you to think of God in terms of Yahweh the Covenant Keeping God. The more I see I recognize this church does not know Him in that kind of relationship. I said before David meditated on it day and night. You can’t get away from it when you know the definitions. It’s a constant reminder of who we serve and who we are supposed to be in relationship with.

There are benefits of our salvation that can be nullified because of sin.

When I about sixteen or seventeen I was born again yet I had no idea at that time I was supposed to enter into covenant. I have received benefits along the way. We start out in the mercy of the Lord and not because of what we did right. He called us, convicted us and we said yes Lord. I didn’t know what the Lord was going to do with my life. He told me things and I started doing them. I didn’t necessary understand everything but I thank the Lord for His grace.

Romans 10:13-17 (KJV) 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (the Covenant Keeping God) shall be saved (made whole). 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord (Covenant Keeping God), who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

There are a lot of people preaching that have not been sent. How can they preach if they are not sent? Pastors are not giving the definitions on save, salvation. If faith comes by hearing how can people hear without the word of God?

Ezekiel 34:3 (KJV) 3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.

They feed themselves but don’t feed the flock. Some teachers know the definitions. For some reason many of them, whether it’s blindness or unbelief never teach it. In my church we sang a song about being made whole. We sang it in the context that being made whole included even if you died prematurely.

One pastor’s wife said you can be made whole on the other side. The problem with that kind of thinking is you don’t need salvation on the other side. You are dead. Salvation is for the living. We have been robbed of God’s word. When you are born again you are sealed until the day of redemption.

Some people make it sound like He is such a hard, unloving God. He did punish people but he gave plenty of space and time for people to repent. That is the grace of God. The only ones that got clobbered right away were Ananias and Sapphira. Other than that God is long suffering.

Psalm 103:1-22 (KJV) 1 Bless the LORD (the covenant keeping god), O my soul (myself): and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD (covenant keeping god), O my soul (myself), and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

This is what I was talking about before. There are certain things that can nullify the benefits. It does not change your state of being born again.

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

This is not just eternal destruction but also in this day and time. There are times we face destruction. Paul was on a ship heading for Rome. Paul warns the centurion of bad weather. They left and ran into bad weather. Paul told them not to leave the ship. He tells them there will be a loss but your lives will be saved.

Acts 27:22 (KJV) 22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.

Acts 27:30-31 (KJV) 30 And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, 31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.

Many churches teach if you are walking in sin you are out of fellowship. Have you ever seen cattle led and loaded up? If you’ve ever seen cattle led then you have seen sometimes they want to go backwards. People backslide.

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 The LORD (covenant keeping god) executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. 7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. 8 The LORD (covenant keeping god)  is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

There is nothing wrong with being angry. The word says be angry and sin not. The Lord himself was angry. There is nothing wrong with being angry. It’s what you do with it. You don’t want to get vindictive or bitter.

9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. 10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

All of my sins have been taken away glory to His name.

When the devil brings up your past sins say the old me is dead I’m a new person. I died in Christ and all of that is gone. You may be tempted to sin or even blow it at times.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD (covenant keeping god) pitieth them that fear him. 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17 But the mercy of the LORD (Covenant Keeping God) is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; 18To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. 19 The LORD (Covenant Keeping God) hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. 20 Bless the LORD (covenant keeping god), ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. 21 Bless ye the LORD (covenant keeping god), all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. 22 Bless the LORD (covenant keeping god), all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD (covenant keeping god), O my soul (me, myself, my life).

God’s covenant to Abraham was he would correct them but they will not be cutoff. There will be a remnant (144,000) spared during 3 World War. He divorced some of them and it cost them dearly but His mercy endures forever. This is parallel in the New Testament. The difference is we are not under the law. We are under grace but there is a law of the heart.

Galatians 1:8-9 (KJV) 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Practicing sin and periodically blowing it are two different things. God wants you delivered from all the evil out there. That is part of your salvation. Deliverance is yours.

Ephesians 6:16 (KJV) 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The way my church taught was you to come to the Lord on Acts 2:38. I missed a lot of benefits coming on that verse.

Acts 2:38 (KJV) 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

It’s been the mercy of God to put up with the watered down gospel people are receiving. It’s His mercy now that the everlasting gospel is being preached. God is giving us a chance to make the correction. That is grace. How long has that grace been going on? It’s been going on a long time. In His faithfulness and in our ignorance many have still experienced His blessings, healing and deliverance in spite of our limited knowledge and faith. In one sense it is like a curse on people who have not heard it. There are so many dying and blaming things on God. I have heard people say sometimes He answers yes and sometimes He answers no. That kind of thinking makes you think you have an excuse for not believing His word. Thank the Father for His grace, great mercy and long suffering towards us.
