I feel the responsibility and seeing the condition of us, this Laodicean Church, there needs to be some growth.
I told an Amish man and others when that time comes the Lords people are going to die like flies in a room full of Raid.
Paul prayed for us believers that our eyes of understanding might be opened. That is true for us even right now in this teaching. We need to open our eyes and understand the greatness of His power towards us.
Ephesians 3:14-21 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Vs.15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, Vs.16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; Vs.17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, Vs.18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; Vs. 19 And to know the love Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Vs.20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Vs.21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
We should close the book after this and meditate on those verses all night. We shouldn’t be limiting the power that works in us.
Luke 17:5-6 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. Vs.6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree (mulberry tree), Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
If we can get our head wrapped around that scripture it makes it easier to say to the cataracts on your eyeballs; leave.
Luke 17:7-9 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? Vs.8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Vs.8 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow (think) not. Vs. 9 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
He gave them an order and said go out; heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons. Faith should be thought of in this sense. You’ve been given the order just do it.
I’ve been around ministries where there wasn’t long prayers, just said what’s going to happen in the name of Jesus and it happened. In fact the cataracts I refer to in my book; he didn’t pray. He told the skeptic that’s what’s going to happen and it happened. Power was being applied at that time.
It reminds of the song There Is Power In The Blood Of The Lamb
There is power, power, wonder-working power in the blood of the Lamb. There is power, power wonder-working power in the precious blood of the Lamb.
James 5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
Some have taken this scripture and say you’re not supposed to swear. That is not true. Some have said I’ll do this and I’ll do that and swear on their mother’s grave or swear on a stack of bibles. This type of swearing is not where you enter into the covenant. That’s what the Lord did. He swore an oath and that’s what we do when we enter into covenant. You swear an oath by the blood of the Lamb that there will be no other gods before you. He’s our salvation. That’s what Abraham did. He swore an oath (a covenant).
James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sings psalms. Vs. 14 Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: Vs. 15 And the prayer of the faith shall save (make whole) the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Again, you say what is it easier to say, walk or your sins forgiven. Sins aren’t forgiven unless there’s a forgiving heart.
Often times there’s a lot of bitterness, what people don’t realize is if you want the Lord to work on the other person turn them loose. As long as you’re holding something over them, you’re dealing with it. For your own sake, for your health’s sake turn them loose. Bitterness can be bad to health; your health.
Even if you’re going to walk in the love of God you’re going to get angry, calm down and forgive them. If you are going to follow the word you’re going to forgive them. You also have to recognize you’re not going to be forgiven if you don’t forgive one another. Walk in the love of God.
Holding onto bitterness gives them control over you. At times they’ve forgot all about it and you’re the one holding on and ruining your own life. Sometimes you just have to forgive people and not go to them. You just forgive them. Don’t carry stuff.
Don’t go around trying to get love. Go around trying to give love. You can’t afford to walk around in un-forgiveness and bitterness. Let it go then you’re free to love everyone. You can be angry and sin not.
I had to learn our God is not like my father. Some people think it’s so hard. You can’t do this and you can’t do that. If the truth were known you would have been dead a long time ago for acting like nuts; but God is gracious, longsuffering and tenderhearted. He said he’d be like a mother hen on his chicks; defend them (another term for savior).
I used to have chickens running around. I came home late one night after ministering and a couple babies were out. I got them and put them back and the mother hen nails me real good. She didn’t just peck. She got a hold and twisted. A mother hen is very bold as long as she has her babies. If there’s trouble they all run under her wings. The Lord said he’d be just like that. You may run off and pick up the wrong bugs but you’re still his chick. The Lord says come on back and I’ll straighten you out. I had to learn he didn’t mind if I had a vacation and do this or that for me. He’s not hard as nails like my dad.
Yes Jesus loves me, yes loves me, yes Jesus loves me for the bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak but he is strong. Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me for the bible tells me so.
He knows you’re going to mess up before you even mess up. A good example is Peter. The Lord knew he was going to mess up but said I pray for you. He knew one day he was going to mess up and then get his act together.
Paul was very sincere like a lot of religious folks but he was sincerely wrong. The Lord had to smack him off his horse and straighten him up. Sometimes we might have to get smacked off our high horse.
Hebrews 10:5-6 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: Vs.6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou had no pleasure.
All of these were substitutes but he didn’t take pleasure in smelling this roasted lamb and bread. That is not what he was after. He was after a circumcised heart. In the Old Covenant they circumcised in the flesh; in the New Testament it’s circumcise in the heart. If you’re circumcised in the heart your behind will follow. Your body will go where your heart goes.
Hebrews 10:7-8 Then said I, Lo I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God (O Creator). Vs.8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burn offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
This is what David understood when he broke the law and went in and ate the showbread. He understood the love for the individual is more than bread and works they went through.
Hebrews 10:9-10 Then said he, Lo I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. Vs.10 By the which will we are sanctified (set apart) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
This is where the Catholics are wrong offering over and over.
Hebrews 10:11-12 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: Vs.12 But this man, after he offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God (the Creator);
Ellen G. White, when they were same with the Millerites, which are now the Jehovah Witness, she prophesied the date of the coming of the Lord and he didn’t come. She changed her prophesy and said he came to the outer sanctuary. I think some caught on to that and others still believe it. But there is no more outer sanctuary ministry. When the lamb was examined that was outer sanctuary in the Old Testament; the Lord was examined by Pontius Pilate, a pagan. He said I find no fault. He doesn’t deserve this death. So they examined the Lamb and find no fault. Even after the lamb is killed they check the liver for disease. The sacrifice has to be without sin, without disease. Disease came because of sin. So they had to offer up a healthy animal.
Hebrews 10:13-19 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. Vs.14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified (set apart). Vs.15 Whereof the Holy Ghost (the Spirit that’s Holy) also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, Vs.16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord (Yahweh), I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; Vs.17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Vs.18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Vs.19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.
Why should we have boldness?
All my sins have been taken away, all my sins have been taken away, all of my sins been taken away. Glory, glory to His name. All of my sins been taken away, taken away.
He remembers them no more and cast them into the deepest sea. Why come boldly; because He’s made us holy. Not by us but by His blood He has sanctified us; separated us from sin; from the world.
The history behind it is absolutely nobody but the high priest could enter into the holy. It was described as a six inch curtain and they tied a rope around the high priest leg. If they didn’t hear anything they would know he was dead and they could pull him out. He would pass through the veil. It didn’t split. So we are permitted with boldness to go behind the veil into the very holiest of holies; where under the Old Testament anyone else would have died in the presence of the Lord.
Hebrews 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated (set apart) for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
So there is no longer any veil; it’s through His flesh.
Hebrews 10:21-22 And having an high priest over the house of the God (the Creator); Vs.22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience (evil lifestyle), and our bodies washed with pure water.
Not river water, or tap water, with pure water, the water of the spirit.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession (confession) of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
If thou shall make a binding agreement or covenant with your mouth the salvation of the covenant keeping God thou shall be made whole. Hold fast to your covenant. You swore an oath, hang onto it.
Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Vs.25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
It goes on to talk about sinning willfully. It’s one thing practice sin and another to blow it every once in a while. We’re supposed to be able to come boldly to the throne of grace and say I need this and that and forgiveness, healing, finances, food. It’s by grace we go in.
Hallelujah! Thank you Pastor David for such clarity. Indeed we will just do His command.
